Everyone has a favorite Disney Princess, and this year everyone's favorite is the 2023 Ariel who is representing the black culture with melanated skin & her ginger colored dreadlocs. Since it's release on May 26th 2023, Ariel played by Halle Bailey, has had everyone wanting to be apart of her world, LITERALLY. Aside from the fact that our Ariel is portrayed as African American, the movie has been adapted from animation to live action, which is so cool. If you were more into superhero's growing up and are not familiar with the story of the little mermaid, this adaptation is definitely one you need to see ASAP.
“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure.
